Confidentiality & Supervision
Last updated: 27/10/2026
Who you’re working with
I’m Eva Barrellon-Kendall, a Sports & Exercise Psychologist in Training. I’m completing my SEPAR qualification and work under the supervision of Dr Aura Goldman. Supervision is a normal and important part of training in psychology. It helps me reflect on my work, practise ethically and give you the best support I can.
London Sports Psychologist is a trading name of Inspiring Psychology Ltd.
What confidentiality means
What you share with me is private. I won’t discuss you or your sessions with anyone else without your permission, apart from the situations described below.
This applies to 1-to-1 sessions. For team or club workshops, we’ll agree beforehand what, if anything, will be shared with the organisation (for example, general themes rather than anything individual).
How supervision works
I discuss my work with my supervisor regularly. When I do:
I keep your identity anonymous, using no names or identifying details unless needed.
I share only what’s necessary to reflect on my practice.
My supervisor is bound by professional confidentiality.
This is also covered in the agreement you’ll be asked to confirm before we start.
Where confidentiality has limits
There are a few situations where I may need to share information without your consent:
Risk of serious harm. If I believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm, I may need to contact your GP, emergency services or another appropriate person. Where possible, I’ll talk to you first.
Safeguarding concerns. If there’s a concern about a child or an adult at risk, I may have a duty to report it to the relevant authority.
Legal requirements. If a court or law requires me to disclose information, or in connection with serious crime or terrorism.
Professional or regulatory matters. If a regulator, insurer or professional body requires information in the course of a complaint or investigation, I’d share only what’s necessary.
In each case, I’ll aim to share as little as possible and, wherever I can, to be open with you about it.
Your records
I keep brief, secure notes of our work, as required for good practice, insurance and legal reasons. How these are stored, how long I keep them and how you can access them are explained in our Privacy Policy. You can ask to see your records or raise concerns about them at any time.
Boundaries of the service
Sports psychology isn’t therapy or medical care. If it seems that additional support would help, I’ll talk with you about it and can refer you to an appropriate professional. If you’re in crisis, please contact your GP, call NHS 111, or dial 999 in an emergency. Samaritans are available on 116 123.
Raising a concern or making a complaint
If you’re unhappy with any part of our service, please tell us at eva@inspiringpsych.com . We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days, look into it carefully and aim to respond within 28 days.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when you book will apply to that booking.
